Stopped by Donna’s for lunch, passing through to NC. Hunter, our server, was so friendly and helpful and attentive. The food was wonderful, too! Great stop!!!

Thankful we found Donna's. It is definitely a hit-the-spot for Southern cookin'. The buffet, though smaller, was fresh and piping hot. The stuff were prompt at keeping everything filled and clean. The fish was excellent as was the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and gravy. The rolls and muffins hit the spot and the salad bar looked delicious as well. Highly recommend!

Travelers of Tennessee: should hunger find you anywhere near Madisonville, make haste to Donna’s Old Town Cafe. We stopped for lunch during a road trip and found a buffet worthy of proclamation. Every bit of the home-cooked food was outstanding, comforting, flavorful, and exactly the kind of meal you hope to find in a great small-town cafe. Nothing felt like ordinary buffet food; it tasted like someone in the kitchen genuinely cared about what they were serving. But the true champion of our visit was our waitress, Lindsey. Full of Tennessee character, quick with a laugh, and genuinely welcoming, she made two travelers feel less like strangers and more like regulars who had simply been away too long. Even the customers around us were incredibly friendly, which says something about the kind of place Donna’s is and the town of Madisonville. While the dessert cobbler was already magnificent on its own, Lindsey graciously offered us ice cream to accompany it. A noble gesture indeed, and exactly the sort of decision that turns dessert into an event. Outstanding home-cooked food, wonderful people, and the kind of hospitality you remember long after the trip is over. Donna’s Old Town Cafe was a memorable experience and absolutely delightful. Five stars, and well earned.

Omg delicious. We went to another restaurant not knowing about this gem. There was no seating, thank goodness or we wouldn't have found this place. A customer of that place told us about Donna's. Our server was Lexie. What a doll. She was great. 💚💚💚

The food, and service was absolutely amazing. The fried chicken is the best. It tastes like my childhood. The strawberry lemonade was fantastic. They really did go out of their way to make us feel at home. I can not recommend it highly enough.
